LED Wall vs Video Wall: What is the Difference?

June 15, 2026 by Radiant Synage Editorial Team

Choosing between an Active LED wall and an LCD video wall depends on your environment:
* **Video Walls (LCD):** Consist of multiple high-definition LCD screens tiled together. They feature extremely high resolutions, perfect for reading fine text up close. However, they show thin grid lines (bezels) between the panels.
* **LED Walls:** Made of modular LED panels fitted together with zero bezels, making the screen completely seamless. They are incredibly bright, ideal for retail store fronts and outdoor setups, but require a longer viewing distance for clear images if you use a larger pixel pitch.
For control rooms, LCD video walls are preferred. For lobbies and billboards, LED walls are the clear winner.
